PT Amman Mineral Internasional Tbk, a leading copper and gold mining company in Indonesia, has announced the appointment of Arief Sidarto as its new President Director. The decision was made during the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders held in Jakarta on June 16, 2025. Sidarto succeeds Alexander Ramlie, who led the company for nearly a decade since its inception.
Sidarto has been part of AMMAN’s executive team for over eight years, previously serving as Director of Finance. His career includes roles as Managing Director and Board Member at Rajawali Corpora and leading Goldman Sachs’ investment banking operations in Southeast Asia. He holds degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
“I am honored and humbled to lead AMMAN into its next chapter of growth and transformation,” said Sidarto. He expressed gratitude to his predecessor, Alexander Ramlie, for his leadership and dedication to the company.
Ramlie will continue with AMMAN as a member of the Board of Commissioners. “From the beginning, AMMAN was envisioned as more than just a mining company; it was designed to place people at the center of everything we do,” he stated. Ramlie is confident in Sidarto’s ability to lead the company forward.
The AGMS also appointed Aditya Sasmito to AMMAN’s Board of Directors. Sasmito has been with PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara since 2020 and brings extensive experience from various industries.
AMMAN emphasizes that this leadership transition is part of long-term succession planning and will not affect ongoing operations or strategic direction. The company remains committed to sustainable development in Indonesia.
PT Amman Mineral Internasional Tbk operates Indonesia’s second-largest copper-gold mine through its subsidiary PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara. It aims to become a fully integrated mining-to-smelting business once its smelter and refinery facilities are completed.
