PT Amman Mineral Internasional Tbk (AMMAN) has been included in the 2025 Fortune Southeast Asia 500 list, which ranks the largest companies in Southeast Asia based on fiscal year 2024 revenue. This marks AMMAN’s second consecutive appearance on the list, moving up from 172nd place last year to 131st this year.

AMMAN, Indonesia’s largest publicly listed copper and gold mining company, achieved strong financial results in 2024. The performance was driven by increased production and sales volumes from the Batu Hijau mine, operated by its subsidiary PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara (AMNT), as well as a rise in commodity prices.

Kartika Octaviana, Vice President of Corporate Communications at AMMAN, attributed this success to effective operational strategies. “AMMAN recorded solid financial and operational performance in 2024,” she stated. “We saw a significant increase in metal output, largely due to high-grade ore extracted from the peak of Phase 7. This contributed to the highest gold production since Batu Hijau began operations in 2000. Alongside this, our ongoing efficiency initiatives have also enabled AMMAN to remain one of the world’s lowest-cost copper producers,” she added.

The company is expanding its exploration efforts by extending the life of the Batu Hijau mine through Phase 8 until 2030. In addition to starting Phase 8 mining operations, AMMAN is transitioning into a fully integrated copper and gold producer with capabilities in mining, smelting, and refining. This growth is supported by digital transformation and artificial intelligence adoption to streamline operations further.

“AMMAN’s inclusion in this prestigious list highlights our growing role in strengthening regional supply chains and reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering long-term value for all stakeholders.” Kartika concluded.
