Heilongjiang Zijin Copper’s “Flue Gas Treatment System Project” was recognized as an “Outstanding Case” at the Climate Lighthouse Awards during Shanghai Climate Week 2025. The project, undertaken by the smelter operator which is a subsidiary of Zijin Mining, uses intelligent technologies to reduce flue gas volumes at production sites, thereby minimizing environmental impact.
The project sets a benchmark for green manufacturing and sustainable development within the industry. It serves as both a model of good practice and a validation for Zijin Mining in its pursuit of fully automated operations.
Shanghai Climate Week is supported by over a hundred global partners, including the United Nations and the Chinese government. It stands as one of Asia’s most influential events focused on climate action and sustainable development. The event’s awards aim to encourage collaborative innovation across value chains and expedite the transition to a low-carbon economy.
