Serbia Zijin Copper, a prominent copper producer in Serbia, recently engaged its workforce in a community health initiative. Over 100 employees from the Majdanpek Mine participated in a blood donation drive organized by the local Red Cross. This effort underscored the company’s dedication to societal well-being and its employees’ willingness to contribute.
Aleksandar Bogdanović, an employee at Majdanpek Mine, stated, “I’ve donated blood 16 times in Majdanpek. When I worked in Belgrade, I’d visit hospitals whenever there was a need—my type-O blood can help many people.” His commitment highlights the personal impact of such initiatives.
Višnja Martinović, another participant, remarked on her motivation: “I started donating at 18. My grandfather, a former Red Cross president here, taught me that helping others is a virtue. A small act like this can save lives.”
The involvement of Serbia Zijin Copper’s employees in social programs like this reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to community support and social responsibility.
